Clay Target Shooting
2009 BCCI Logo.jpg The Canberra International Clay Target Club (CICTC), is located on Kings Highway, Kowen Forest, Canberra (about 12 minute drive from Bungendore). The CICTC now offers shooting experiences to unlicenced or beginner shooters, groups and corporate events. Most shotgun disciplines are active within the club including: Down The Line, Ball Trap, Double Trap, ISSF Trap (Trench), Skeet (American and ISSF) and Simulated Field. Sparrow Hill Mountain-biking
If off-road cycling is more your game, then Sparrow Hill is definitely worth a visit. Rated by many locals and interstate riders as their outright favourite track, Sparrow Hill offers a riding experience like no other. The track consists of a main loop approx 27km long which is achievable by all skill levels. Off this main loop is a number of more technical outer loops comprising rockbridges, rock gardens and step-downs offering more than 30km of singletrack in total to the adventurous rider. Bush Walking and Picnicing
The banks of the Molonglo River is favourite picnic spot, with barbecue facilities and a walking trail with spectacular views into the Molonglo Gorge.

The Lake George District cool climate wineries are located on Bungendore escarpment with breathtaking views over the ancient lake basin; birthplace of the Weereewa Festival. Here one can at times, it seems, almost touch the clouds. These vineyards provide grapes of exceptional character, and the winemaking itself sets a standard of excellence for cool climate wines.
