Embrace our Magical Autumn
A snap shot of Mother`s Day in Bungendore.
I was probably one of many local mums to wake up with their child jumping up and down on the bed at the crack of dawn, with pressie in hand. After opening a simply priceless gift from my adoring son, I was treated to breaky and coffee made by `the boys`.
Mother`s Day was simply magical. Many local Bungendorians (myself included) joined the 7000+ runners and walkers to participate in Canberra`s Mothers Day Classic `Breast Cancer` Run. I was proud to be one of the `classic 100` group that raised $40,000 for breast cancer research.
Fitness out of the way, it was time to indulge!
Back to Bungendore to pick up my son, whilst hubby worked the shop (thanks, I owe you one), I noticed our lovely town filled with proud mums being spoilt by their families at the many local cafes, restaurants and al fresco diners.
What better way to take in the sun on a magical autumn day than at the annual Hoskinstown Chestnut Roast to help raise much needed funds for the Hoskinstown Community Hall.
I hope all you lovely Aussie mums out there had a magical autumn day too!
But autumn`s not over yet. Check out `Whats ON!` to see what`s coming up in and around our local Village during such a magical time of the year.
