Optimised search results for the BCCI website

To provide a more dynamic and searchable online directory of member business, the BCCI website was recently optimised to ensure anyone who searches online for services in Bungendore will now find the relevant Chamber webpage on the first page of their search results. For example, anyone searching for 'Bungendore restaurants' will see a direct link to the Chamber's restaurant page on their first page results. The same will hold true when people search for other categories such as accommodation, shops and galleries, professional services etc. This new feature provides even more reason to take advantage of FREE member advertising on the BCCI website! If you haven't already done so, simply send your business name and contact details and a few words about your business – along with your logo and up to three photos – to secretary@bungendore.com.au

New local newspaper – the Bungendore Weekly

Those who were saddened by the recent demise of The Bungendore Mirror, will be please to hear that a new local newspaper, The Bungendore Weekly is about to commence production. This new, free paper will be  community and business orientated and edited and produced locally.  The BCCI Executive Committee urges all members to consider supporting the paper through advertising to ensure its success. BCCI will be contributing to the newspaper by way of our regular monthly news update and will also be advertising the 2016 Business Directory in the paper. To arrange your own advertising in the Bungendore Weekly, or to obtain more information, please email info@bungendoreweekly.com or call Sharon Baxter-Judge on 0419 025 533.

Abbeyfield – looking for community support

Further to the Abbeyfield presentation given by Peter Blematl at our May General Meeting, the Abbeyfield project is progressing. The project will deliver a much-needed home for seniors in Bungendore but is not government funded, so Abbeyfield are now asking the local community for support.  To contribute to the Bungendore Abbeyfield project, please visit their crowd funding page. To learn more about Abbeyfield and the great work they do, you can view this Youtube link, visit the Abbeyfield Facebook page, or come along to the Bungendore Community Christmas Party on 6 December and have a chat to the folks from Abbeyfield at their stall.
